Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure all databases meet architectural requirements, including high availability, security, scalability, and performance, along with DB monitoring (manual, shell scripts, and OEM).
  • Install, maintain, and monitor new/existing setups of databases while configuring and upgrading Oracle database software (12c and 19c).
  • Create and/or clone databases and set up/manage standby (DR) databases.
  • Implement and maintain database security by creating users, roles, and assigning privileges.
  • Perform database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Plan and manage database growth and revisions (capacity planning).
  • Patch management (PSU and CPU) for grid infrastructure and databases.
  • Plan, implement, and maintain DB backup and recovery technologies (RMAN, expdp/impdp, etc.).

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Certifications in Oracle, Linux, Azure, and Oracle Cloud, and experience with Linux OS are preferred.
  • 5-6 years of industry experience in a production environment.
  • Proven experience managing on-premise and cloud databases, with hands-on expertise in Linux and Windows servers.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database design, implementation, and disaster recovery (DR) configurations, along with in-depth experience in Oracle DBA administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
