WordPress Developer
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain fully responsive WordPress websites across multiple devices and browsers.
- Customize and manage WordPress themes, plugins, and core functionality based on business requirements.
- Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and services within WordPress environments.
- Deploy websites to live servers and manage staging environments.
- Handle domain registration, renewals, DNS configuration, and hosting setup.
- Manage hosting environments (cPanel / cloud platforms) and troubleshoot server-related issues.
- Optimize WordPress websites for SEO, speed, and performance.
- Monitor website performance using analytics tools and implement improvements.
- Ensure website security, backups, updates, and uptime monitoring.
- Work closely with designers and the marketing team to create user-friendly, high-converting web pages.
- Manage multiple web projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Stay up to date with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
- Proven experience working with WordPress themes, plugins, and customization.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with SEO concepts and website performance optimization.
- Experience with WordPress page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of PHP for WordPress customization is an added advantage.
- Experience with domain, DNS, and hosting management (cPanel or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with Git-based version control (GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket) is a plus.
- Understanding of website security, backups, and maintenance best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- A portfolio of live WordPress websites will be a strong advantage.
